Just Because Poem

The Hungry in Ethiopia

Just because I’m on the other side of the world
Doesn’t mean I don’t exist
It doesn’t mean I am not important.
Just because we have no money for technology to tell the world about our country
Doesn’t mean our problems aren’t real.
Just because we are hardly ever heard
Doesn’t mean we aren’t hungry as hell.
Just because some organizations come and help
Doesn’t mean we are being taken care of,
It doesn’t mean we can be forgotten.
Just because we have barely any chance of surviving,
It doesn’t mean we are hopeless.
